Amputee Football

The Single Leg Amputee Football Association (SLASA) put on a football match in Freetown to commemorate the Invasion of Freetown which took place on 6th January 1999 and saw the RUF rebels commit horrific acts against in the civilian population, including the chopping off of limbs. It was on that day that some of these players became amputees.
